The BME1829-50 from Stellant Systems is a Linear GaN Class A/AB Amplifier that operates from 100 to 2000 MHz. It has an in-built TTL controlled Low/High band switch. In the low band mode (100 to 799 MHz), the amplifier provides a CW output power of 2 W and in high band mode (800 to 2000 MHz), it provides a CW output power of 50 W. Both modes provide rated power into a 3:1 load VSWR when driven with a -10 dBm RF signal.
The amplifier has an in-built dual directional coupler with directivity of over 20 dB and features thermal shut-down protection above 95ºC baseplate temperature. It requires a DC supply of 28 V and has a current consumption of up to 7 A. The SSPA is available in a module that measures 5.5 x 4.5 x 1.6 inches with connectors and is designed to meet MIL-STD 810F shock and vibration standards.
Note: This amplifier needs to be mounted to a heatsink.
