The BME49189-50 from Stellant Systems is a GaN Solid-State Power Amplifier Module that operates from 4 to 18 GHz. It delivers an output power of more than 50 W with a gain of 49 dB and has a DC to RF efficiency of greater than 15%. This Class AB-linear has a noise output power of -105 dBm/Hz, spurious level of less than -60 dBc, and harmonics of better than -35 dBc. It has a built-in fault indication for over-current and over-temperature scenarios. The amplifier requires a DC supply of 28 V, consumes less than 350 W of power in normal operation, and less than 2 W of power in standby mode. It is available in a module that measures 6.56 x 3.50 x 0.84 inches and is ideal for use in communication, electronic warfare, radar transmitter systems, AV/airborne, ground mobile, surface, and shipboard applications.
