The BPMC928109-1000 from Comtech is a X-Band Solid State GaN Power Amplifier that operates from 9.2 to 10 GHz for Radar Applications. It provides a peak output power of 1000 Watts with a gain of more than 60 dB and a flatness of 2 dB. This amplifier has a pulsewidth of 0.25 to 100 microseconds and a pulse rise/fall time of 60 nanoseconds. The amplifier features include options for control of phase and amplitude to allow integration into high power systems utilizing conventional binary or phased array systems. It has an efficiency of 14% and requires 28 Volts DC supply. This amplifier is available as a module that measures 9.6” x 6.8” x 2.15” with SMA-Female connectors.
