The SA1062 from Sungsan is a Solid-State Power Amplifier System that operates from 1 to 6 GHz (Band A) and 6 to 18 GHz (Band B). It delivers a pulsed/CW output power of more than 10 W (40 dBm) with a gain of 40 dB. The amplifier can switch between bands in less than 150 ms. It has spurious levels of better than -60 dBc and harmonics of -20 dBc. The amplifier has an LCD display which can indicate the operation status and fault conditions if the corresponding fault, such as RF input overdrive, over-temperature, over-current, etc. has occurred. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely through the optional Remote Controls – GPIB (IEEE-488), RS-232, and Ethernet (LAN).
The SA1062 is available in a benchtop or in a rack-mount cabinet that measures 482.6 x 600.0 x 132.5 mm with N-type (female) connectors and is suitable for EMC test systems. It requires an AC supply of 200-260 V and consumes 500 W of power.
