The HL9492 from HyperLabs is a Balun that operates from 5 to 30 MHz. This bidirectional balun can be used as a signal splitter or combiner and can operate in either single-ended mode or mixed mode. In the single-ended mode of operation, the output ports have 50 Ohm balanced outputs which are out of phase, and in the mixed mode, this balun provides a single output of 100 Ohm impedance. It has an amplitude match of up to ± 1.0 dB and a phase match of ± 5°. This balun has a group delay of 75 ps, a rise time of less than 20 ps, and an insertion loss of less than 8 dB. It can handle an input power of 1 W and has a return loss of more than 5 dB (unbalanced) & 8 dB (balanced).
The HL9492 is designed to be compatible with a SAC305 thermal reflow profile. This balun is available in a surface mount package that measures 12.7 x 5.08 x 3.30 mm and is ideal for use in high-speed communications systems, high-speed analog-to-digital conversion, etc. applications.
