The MBAL-0220SM from Marki Microwave is a GaAs passive MMIC balun (Balanced to Unbalanced Transformer) that operates from 2 GHz to 20 GHz. It has a 1:2 impedance ratio, an insertion loss of under 8.5 dB, an isolation of 10 dB and a common mode rejection of 30 dB. It has been tuned for an optimal amplitude balance of 0.2 dB, phase balance of 3 degrees and has a VSWR of 2:1. The RoHS-compliant balun is available in a 4 x 4 mm QFN surface mount package and is best suited for use in, balanced amplifiers, clock distribution, balanced receivers, baseband digital modulation, signal integrity, push-pull amplifiers, and higher order Nyquist sampling in analog to digital converters.
