ADL5920 Image

The ADL5920 from Analog Devices is a Bidirectional Detector that simultaneously measures forward and reverse  RMS power levels in a signal path, along with the return loss from 9 kHz to 7 GHz. It has a 49 dB dynamic range and can detect signals as low as -19 dBm. This detector has an insertion loss of less than 1.9 dB and a directivity of up to 20 dB. The maximum input signal at the RF port of this detector should be limited to 30 dBm for open and shorted terminations and 33 dBm for a matched termination. The detector draws 160 mA from a 5 V supply during operation. It is available in a 32-lead, 5 × 5 mm LFCSP package and is ideal for applications like Industrial metering, Broadband inline power, return loss measurement, Transmit power control, and automatic level control in wireless transmitters, signal generators, network analyzers, and wireless communications testers, and Condition-based monitoring of system modules, cables & connectors.
