The MADL-011108 from MACOM is a Diode Limiter that operates from 18 to 40 GHz. It can handle CW power of 33 dBm (~2 W) and RF peak input power of up to 36 dBm (~4 W) (1 µs RF pulse width, 10% duty cycle). This limiter has a flat leakage power of 17 dBm and an insertion loss of less than 1.5 dB. It is DC decoupled at both input and output RF ports and is suitable for high-frequency, high-peak-power receiver protection. It is available in a 4-lead PQFN package that measures 4 x 4 mm and is ideal for radio frequency front-end modules, receiver protection, and radar system applications.
