The TDLM052402QC-290 from Teledyne e2v is a Quasi Active PIN Diode Power Limiter that operates from 500 MHz to 4 GHz. It can handle an average CW input power of up to 53 dBm, a peak input power of up to 63 dBm and has an insertion loss of less than 0.9 dB. The power limiter maintains a flat leakage power below 17 dBm and spike energy leakage of less than 0.5 ergs.

The TDLM052402QC-290 has excellent thermal characteristics with a proprietary design methodology that minimizes thermal resistance from the PIN Diode junction-to-base plate (RTHJ-A). The limiter design employs a two-stage detector circuit which enables ultra-fast turn-on of the high-power PIN Diodes. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 8.0 x 5.0 x 2.5 mm with I/O DC-blocking gel packs.

The limiter is ideal for demanding electronic warfare and radar applications and utilizes a proven hybrid assembly technology. It has an optimal small signal insertion loss permitting extremely low receiver noise figure while simultaneously offering very low flat leakage under high power conditions thereby offering excellent receiver protection.
