The 4205A-127 from Weinschel by Spectrum Control is an MMIC Digital Attenuator that operates from 0.3 to 6000 MHz. It provides an attenuation of up to 127.75 dB (0.25 dB steps), has an insertion loss of less than 12.8 dB and a VSWR of under 1.8:1. The attenuator can handle an input power of up to 23 dBm (CW) and 28 dBm (Pulsed). It has a switching speed of less than 0.4 μs and ensures uninterrupted RF when changing attenuation values. The attenuator requires a DC supply voltage from 3.3 to 15 V and draws a current of 25 mA.
The attenuator can be controlled using parallel (TTL compatible), I2C, SPI, UART, or USB interfaces. It is available in a module that measures 83.4 x 63.5 x 13.8 mm with SMA-female connectors and is suitable for automated test equipment (ATE), WiMAX, LTE, WiFi, 3G/4G fading simulators, MIMO testing, and engineering/production test lab applications.
