The DAT60KUL from DS Instruments is a digital programmable RF attenuator that operates from 1 to 22 GHz. This USB-controlled step attenuator has an attenuation range of 0 to 60 dB with 0.5 dB steps. The attenuator has a low insertion loss and can handle an input power of up to 26 dBm. It has a simple virtual COM port which accepts serial commands, making it easy to interface with almost any Operating System and scripting environment. DS Instruments provides a software/GUI with the device through which it can be controlled. It is available in a compact benchtop module that measures 2.75 x 1.25 x 2.15 inches with SMA connectors.
