The Model 3250B from Kratos is a PIN Diode Attenuator that operates from 0.2 to 18 GHz. It provides an attenuation of up to 60 dB in 1 dB increments using 6-bit binary or BCD programming with an accuracy of ± 1.5 dB. The attenuator can handle a peak input power of 2 W, has an insertion loss of less than 5 dB, and switching time of less than 2 µsec. It requires a DC supply of 5/±15 V, consumes 250 mA of current over a 5 V supply, and 75 mA of current over a ±15 V supply. This attenuator is an integrated assembly of a dual T-pad PIN diode attenuator and a driver consisting of a D/A & an I/V converter. It is available in a rugged package that measures 82.5 x 50.8 x 20.3 mm with SMA male and female connectors.
