The CGY2171XBUH/C1 is a GaAs MMIC 6-bit Attenuator that operates from 1 to 15 GHz covering the L, S, C, and X band. It has an attenuation range of 31.5 dB with a step size of 0.5 dB and an insertion loss of under 5 dB. The attenuator can handle an input power of up to 20 dBm. It is available as a die and is ideal for Radar, Telecommunication and Instrumentation applications.
The die is manufactured using MACOM’s 0.18 µm gate length PHEMT Technology. The MMIC uses gold bonding pads and backside metallization and is fully protected with Silicon Nitride passivation. This technology has been evaluated for Space applications and is on the European Preferred Parts List of the European Space Agency.
