The SAC3406BSPQ4 from SuperApex is a 6-bit GaAs Digital Attenuator MMIC that operates from DC to 12 GHz. It provides an attenuation of up to 15.75 dB in attenuation bits from 0.25 to 8 dB and has an insertion loss of less than 2.5 dB. This attenuator requires a positive DC supply of 5 V, consumes 6 mA of current, and uses three TTL inputs (0/+5V) to select each attenuation state. It is available as a chip that measures 4 x 4 mm and is ideal for EW, SATCOM, test equipment and sensors, and beamforming applications.
