The RC-S660/U from Sony Semiconductor Israel is an Embedded NFC Reader Module for PCs, tablets, and other consumer electronic devices. This module supports communication with ISO/IEC 14443 Type A/Type B and ISO/IEC 15693 cards and tags, as well as FeliCa™. It uses a carrier frequency of 13.56 MHz and can communicate with a device or card at a distance of 25 mm. This module requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes less than 140 mA of current. It is available in a module that measures 45.0 x 2.3 x 25.0 mm with USB 2.0 interface. The module is suitable for logical access control, online payment, ID authentication, and loyalty service.
