The RFX7000B Series from Noisecom are Programmable AWGN Noise Generators that operate up to 40 GHz. These devices have a powerful on-board computer with a flexible architecture that is used to create complex custom noise signals for advanced test systems. They can provide high output power with superior flatness, and allow the control of multiple attenuators and switches.
These noise generators incorporate a broadband noise source, noise path attenuator (with a maximum attenuation range of 127.9 dB in 0.1 dB steps), and switch. The RF connection for the signal input and noise output can be located on either the front or rear panels of the instrument. It has an optional signal combiner, and signal attenuator that allow independent control of the noise & signal paths to vary SNR while BER testing.
The RFX7000B Noise Generators are available in a compact 1U rack-mount unit with SMA (F) connectors. The compact 1U form factor makes them ideal for use in automated testing environments or integrated systems used in satellite communications, radar, and signal and millimeter wave product testing. The instrument is controllable through standard LAN or USB rear panel connections and is available in a series of standard configurations that can be modified to support specific customer requirements. These instruments can be manually controlled via a mouse and display connected to the rear panel. RS-232 and GPIB remote connectivity are also available through optional adapters.
