NC5000A Series Image

The NC5000A Series from Maury Microwave are AWGN Noise Sources for frequency ranges from 18 to 110 GHz. They feature outstanding stability, fast switching speeds, and have a ripple-free response over standard waveguide bands. These noise sources support calibration in 1 GHz steps, have a noise output rise/fall time of less than 1 µs and a noise output variation (with temperature) of better than 0.01 dB/°C. The high stability of these noise sources allows them to be used in place of cumbersome gas tube noise sources. These noise sources minimize ripple throughout the specified frequency range for better measurement accuracy. They require a DC supply of 28 V and consume less than 30 mA of current.

The NC5000A Series noise sources are available in modules with BNC-female input connector and waveguide output interfaces. They are ideal for use in noise figure measurement, built-in test equipment (BITE), automotive radar, radiometers, military, 802.11ad, 60 GHz Wi-Fi/WiGig, small cell wireless backhaul and wireless HD applications.
