The MO from Safran is a Space-Qualified Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) that operates at 10 MHz (frequencies from 5 to 15 MHz available on request). It provides an output signal level of 4.5 dBm with an SSB phase noise of -160 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset. This oscillator has a frequency stability of 1 ppb over a wide temperature range and a standard warm-up time of 20 minutes. It has spurious levels of -120 dBc and harmonics of -30 dBc. The OCXO requires a DC supply of 12-18 V, consumes 8 W of power during warm-up, and less than 5.5 W of power under normal operation mode.
The MO has been specifically designed using long lifetime and high reliability technology that offers low temperature sensitivity, excellent short and long-term stability and fast warm-up functionality. It is available in a rugged enclosure that measures 44 x 54 x 57 mm with 2x M4 screw-type and SMA connectors. This space-qualified oscillator is ideal for SAR, FGU, MRO, and navigation applications.
