The OHA4 from Pletronics is an Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) with a frequency range of 10 to 40 MHz. It provides a CMOS output with a phase noise of -164 dBc/Hz (@100 kHz offset, 20 MHz freq.) and has a frequency stability (vs. temperature) of ±100 ppb. This oscillator requires a DC supply of 3.3 V, consumes less than 600 mA of current (turn on), and 230 mA of current in steady-state mode. It is available in a surface mount that measures 7.5 x 5.5 mm and has an operating temperature range of -40 to +105°C. The OCXO is suitable for use in SONET/SDH/DWDM, test and measurement, telecom transmission and switching equipment, base stations/picocell, wireless communication equipment, and packet timing protocol (e.g., IEEE-1588) applications.
