The ROD2522S2H from Rakon is an Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) that operates from 10 to 20 MHz. It provides square-wave output waveforms with an SSB phase noise of -134 dBc/Hz (at 100 Hz offset) and has a frequency stability of ±0.5 ppb (vs. temperature). This OCXO has a hold-over time of 24 hours and a rise/fall time of 5 ns. It uses advanced self-learning aging compensation with a primary reference traceable clock input operating in standard mode to adapt and understand its aging behaviour. This oscillator is engineered with a theme mechanical design and incorporates unique control circuitry that controls the OCXO via an I2C bus. It leverages Rakon’s smart compensation and advanced design to ensure precise stability, making it ideal for applications demanding 24-hour hold-over and highly accurate frequency stability.
The ROD2522S2H requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes less than 300 mA of current. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 25.4 x 22.0 x 12.1 mm and is ideal for edge grandmasters, DU/CU/servers, cell-site routers, front-haul switches, NIC timecards, test equipment, and GNSS applications.
