The ROX2522S from Rakon is a High-Stability OCXO that operates from 10 to 20 MHz. It is designed as a compact frequency source and time holdover reference for synchronization systems. This OCXO has a frequency stability of ±0.5 ppm while operating at a temperature range from -40 to 85 °C and has a phase noise of -158.7 dBc/Hz (@100 kHz). It has a start-up time of 1.5 s and a rise and fall time of 5 ns. This high-end OCXO is ideal for systems requiring low aging and minimal frequency variation with temperature changes, all in a small form factor.
The ROX2522S has spurious levels better than -80 dBc and sub-harmonics of -40 dBc. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes less than 3.5 W of power. This oscillator is available in a surface-mount package that measures 25.4 x 22.0 x 12.1 mm and is suitable for holdover reference for 5G systems, time and frequency references, wireless base stations, and Instrumentation & broadcasting applications.
