The RFS15000C-LF from Z-Communications is a Fixed Frequency PLL Synthesizer that generates frequency of 15 GHz. It provides an output power of -6 dBm with a phase noise of -80 dBc/Hz and has a settling time of 3 ms. This synthesizer has an integrated 10 MHz TCXO reference oscillator (frequency stability of ±10 ppm), phase detector, loop filter, VCO and PIC microcontroller. It utilizes microstrip topology and a loop filter bandwidth that is configured as per each application to provide optimal phase noise performance. The synthesizer provides a spurious suppression of -65 dBc and 2nd harmonic suppression of -20 dBc. It requires two DC supplies of 3.3 V and 5 V and consumes less than 95 mA of current.
The RFS15000C-LF is available in a surface-mount SFS-L1 package that measures 1.00 x 1.00 inches and is suitable for use in radar systems, SATCOM and test equipment applications.
