The PDRO Series from Ultra are Phase Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillators that operate from 3 to 45 GHz. They are available in two reference options – the first option offers an integrated, high-stability internal crystal oscillator in the 100 MHz range and the second option offers a dual loop design to enable the output frequency to be phase locked to an integer or fractional multiple of the reference frequency used. The single loop model when phase locked to an external 100 MHz crystal reference has a phase noise of -120 dBc/Hz (at 10 kHz offset, output frequency = 10 GHz) from the carrier. These PDROs GaAs MESFET and BJT DROs achieve low phase noise and high efficiency.

This PDRO Series requires a DC supply of 8/12/15 V and consume less than 450 mA of current. They have spurious levels of -80 dBc and harmonics of -20 dBc. These PDROs are available in modules with SMA-female or 2.92 mm connectors and have an operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C. They are designed for use in commercial and military systems where demanding performance, high reliability, and cost are critical.
