The EDPLO-4000 series from Exodus Dynamics is a PLDRO that can be customized to generate a stable frequency signal from 1 to 40 GHz. To do so the PLDRO requires an external reference of 5 or 10 MHz. Once the frequency of the device has been set by the factory, it can further be tuned by 100 MHz mechanically. This oscillator can provide an output power of up to 13 dBm (up to 25 dBm optional). It requires a supply voltage of 12/15 V and consumes 400 mA of current.
The EDPLO-4000 series oscillator is buffered by a cascaded low-noise driver and power amplifiers for minimum load pulling, maximum isolation, and power. It is internally voltage regulated to avoid reverse bias, frequency pushing, bias modulation, and voltage transients. A phase lock indicator alarm of the TTL type is also provided.
The EDPLO-4000 series is RoHS-compliant and is available in a module that measures 2.25 x 2.25 x 1.25 inches with SMA female or 2.9 mm connectors. It ideal for satellite communications, cable TV links (CATV), local area networks (LAN), global position systems (GPS), test equipment, point to point communication, Up/Down converters, LMDS, transmitters & receivers, traffic signpost, digital radios, missile guidance, airborne, military, space, and commercial applications.
