The MS14GT from General Dynamics is a 4-Port GPS Splitter that operates from 1.1 to 1.7 GHz. It can handle an input power of up to 0 dBm, has a noise figure of less than 2 dB, and provides an isolation of more than 30 dB. This GPS splitter has an amplitude balance of ±1 dB and a phase balance of ±1°. It is designed for redundancy and if the selected DC bias input fails or is removed, the DC bias will automatically switch to another DC input to ensure an uninterrupted supply to the active antenna. It is amplified to offset splitter losses and has EMI shielding to increase reliability. It requires a DC supply from 3.3 to 12 V and consumes less than 20 mA of current.
The MS14GT features an antenna DC bias select circuit that allows the active antenna DC input to be applied to any or all RF outputs. Using this feature, one DC voltage will be chosen to power the antenna while other inputs will be switched to DC-blocked outputs with 200 Ohm resistive loads to the ground. It is available in a RoHS/REACH/WEEE compliant hermetically-sealed package that measures 3.3 x 4.0 x 1.3 inches with N-type (female), SMA-female, and TNC-female connectors and is ideal for aircraft or ground vehicle applications.
