The SPL-2G42G50W4+ from Mini-Circuits is a 4-Way Active Power Splitter that operates from 2.4 to 2.5 GHz (ISM Band). It consists of a microprocessor, a 4:1 splitter, attenuators, phase shifters, power amplifiers, and an I2C switch. This power splitter has been designed to be integrated with the ZHL-2425-250X+ power amplifier, ISC-2425-25+ signal generator/controller, and the COM2G42G51K0+ to easily construct a 1 kW RF energy system. It enables the matching of the phase and amplitude of the four independent paths by adjusting the channels. This power splitter has an insertion loss of 1 dB and a VSWR of less than 2.0:1. It provides an amplitude tuning range of 30 dB and a phase shift range of 360°.
The SPL-2G42G50W4+ uses the I2C bus for controlling the phase and amplitude, and this bus is switchable across all four channels. The I2C interface also offers easy access to the amplifier’s analog and digital data, enabling dynamic ISM applications with either single or multiple modules to be controlled. This RoHS-compliant splitter is available in a module that measures 5.118 x 3.780 inches and has MCX (female) connectors at the input and output ports. It is ideal for S-band high-power amplifiers, RF energy generators, plasma generators, and industrial heating applications.
