The K-DT1 from RFbeam Microwave is a Handheld Doppler Target Simulator that operates in the K-Band from 24.00 to 24.25 GHz. It is used to support K-band radar transceivers by simulating moving target objects with a speed from 1 to 300 km/h and Doppler frequency range from 44 to 13,400 Hz. This simulator calibrates and tests speed displays, door openers, safety systems, and other radar-based Doppler sensors using the built-in circularly-polarized antenna and can be used in any orientation independently of the sensor orientation. It requires a DC supply of 3.6-7 V and consumes 340 mA (active) and 50 mA (standby) of current.
The K-DT1 uses a software that generates low distortion and directional Doppler modulation signals over the Doppler frequency range. It can be connected to any Windows PC via a serial/mini-USB port to remotely monitor and configure the presets of the simulator in real-time. The simulator is available in a module that measures 68 x 128 x 24 mm and is ideal for system tuning and adjustment, incoming components inspection, production final inspection, and mobile testing applications.
