The RFS 2150 from Quintech is a Redundancy Switch that operates from 950 to 2150 MHz. It has an insertion loss of 2.5 dB and an isolation of 40 dB. This switch with RF sensing detects the presence of a primary RF signal and provide the ability to switch to a backup (secondary) signal upon the loss of the primary. Also, an optional RS-232 DB-9 port has been included through which the RF sensing switch can be remotely controlled. This device is available in a rackmount unit that measures 1.75 H x 19 W x 14 D inches with F-type, BNC 75, or 50 ohms connectors. It is ideal for redundancy switching applications for failed LNBs, upconverters, downconverters, and unmanned facilities. Standard alarm and remote are also available via contact closure.
