The GORE-FLIGHT from W. L. Gore & Associates are Microwave Assemblies that operate up to 40 GHz. These rugged assemblies have been designed for airborne electronic surveillance/counter measures, radar warning systems, navigation/communication systems, and electronic/signal intelligence applications. They are tested for vapor leakage, dielectric withstanding voltage, VSWR, insertion loss, impedance, and velocity of propagation. The cables are constructed using fluoropolymers to reduce abrasion caused by routing during installation and help maintain stable performance by resisting the effects of vibration and temperature changes during flight.
The GORE-FLIGHT assemblies use Gore’s polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) insulation which has a dielectric constant from 1.35 to 1.40 and has an insertion loss of less than 0.87 dB/ft. They provide shielding effectiveness of more than 90 dB and have a VSWR of less than 1.45:1. These assemblies have a diameter of less than 8.9 mm and a minimum bend radius of 12.5 mm. They are available with multiple self-locking connectors options like SMA, TNCA, TK, and N type connectors.
