The TSQA-1X8PMF from Becker RF is a Fully Automatic 8-Channel Signal Source that operates from 1700 to 9800 MHz. It has been developed for High-temperature Operating Life Time (HTOL) testing applications. The RF sub-system delivers an output power of 5 W per channel with a power accuracy of ±0.3 dB and provides output isolation of 80 dB between ports. Each channel has an ALC for precise output power stability over long periods and is equipped with an internal CW RF signal source. It has a CW source frequency resolution of 10 kHz and a CW source frequency accuracy of 2.5 ppm. This signal source has an adaptive harmonic filter for effective suppression of harmonics with harmonics of -25 dBc. It features RF output and input ports on the left or the right site allowing the cables to be as short as possible for reduced loss and power consumption.
The TSQA-1X8PMF implements software to automate the complete testing process. It has a user-friendly GUI which can be controlled over LAN, SCPI, or USB. This software can operate without human intervention during entire test periods of multiple months and includes a self-monitoring function for current consumption, module temperature, and logging of errors. It also has an Automatic Test Sequencing option that significantly reduces the number of operator interventions.
This signal source is available in a 19”, 3U enclosure that measures 483 x 133 x 431 mm with SMA-female connectors and is suitable for tests of components for the 5G (FR1) and Wi-Fi 6E standard. It can also be used for the qualification of active and passive cellular and wireless front-end components, quality assurance (new designs, batch verification), and research and development (R&D).
The Sub-system required an AC supply of 230 V and consumes less than 500 W of power.
