The XBee SX 900 from Digi is an RF Module that operates from 902 to 928 MHz. It supports a wireless data rate from 10 to 250 Kbps. This module provides up to 13 dBm of transmit power and has a receiver sensitivity of -113 dBm. It has a theoretical line-of-sight range of up to 14.5 km when used with an antenna that has a gain of 6 dB. The module requires a supply of 3.3V and has a power consumption of 40 mA. It features DigiMesh networking topology for redundancy and reliability and can be configured easily using Digi’s free XCTU software or via Digi’s simplified AT or API command sets.
The module provides secure, reliable delivery of critical data between devices with 256-bit AES encryption standards, and the small Digi XBee surface-mount form factor saves valuable PCB space for mission-critical wireless designs.
