The FMLR-80-STL4E from Miromico is a 2.4 GHz LoRa® and LoRaWAN® IoT Transceiver Module that is designed to enable wireless connectivity of devices, systems, and sensors communicating with high data rates or over long distances. It delivers a data rate of up to 1.3 Mbps and supports long-range Time-of-Flight (ToF ranging) distance measurements. This module is based on the Semtech SX1280/1 LoRaWan® module with an integrated ARM Cortex-M4 32-bit micro-controller that runs entire RF stacks and has sufficient resources to run user applications. It supports various modulation schemes such as the robust high bit rate and long-range FLRC, (G)FSK, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) which enable communications with smartphones, tablets, gadgets, and other devices. It also has an option to integrate low-power high-precision temperature compensated oscillators (TCXO) for both RTC and radio.
The FMLR-80-STL4E has been developed for seamless integration into LoRaWAN networks and can easily be extended with low-power sensors to build production-ready IoT sensor nodes. It has an additional onboard 512 KB of flash memory to enable Over-The-Air (OTA) updates and data storage. This module includes a wireless stack in the firmware, that can be updated via SWD, UART-bootloader, or OTA to support fast prototyping and development.
This IoT module requires a DC supply from -0.3 V to 3.6 V and consumes less than 15 mA of current. Power consumption resulting from the module can be further optimized to run from a small-sized battery. It is available in a package that measures 14.2 x 19.5 x 3.5 mm and has U.FL connectors for RF ports. The LoRa module is ideal for tracking, tracing, IoT, smart city, smart agriculture, industry 4.0, smart building, battery-powered sensors, remote data logging, UART/SPI/I2C wireless bridging, and telemetry applications.
