The Type 1YM from Murata is a 2 x 2 MIMO Dual-Band Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5.2 Combo Module that is designed for IoT applications. It has a WLAN data rate of up to 866 Mbps and a Bluetooth data rate of up to 3 Mbps. The module delivers a Wi-Fi Tx power of 17 dBm (@2.4GHz) and has a Rx sensitivity of -51 dBm @ 866Mpbs (5GHz). It is based on NXP’s 88W8997 chipset and supports DSSS, CCK, and OFDM modulation techniques.
The Type 1YM requires a DC supply of 2.7-5.5 V and can be controlled via UART, PCM, PCIe, SDIO, and USB interfaces. It is available in a surface-mount LGA package that measures 11.8 x 8.4 x 1.3 mm and is ideal for industrial IoT, smart home, audio/4K video/voice, and gateway applications.
