The FC41D from Quectel is a Standalone 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 5.2 Module that has been designed for cost-sensitive applications. It supports Bluetooth 5.2 radio, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) radio with 1 x 1 SISO and IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards. This module also provides support for various antennas such as pin antenna, IPEX antenna, and PCB antenna (optional). It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and offers an ultra-compact size, low power consumption, ultra-wide temperature range, and high reliability for applications such as smart home and industrial control.
The FC41D is encased in an innovative package design that enables an easy soldering and testing process, minimizing design-in time and development efforts for faster time-to-market. It integrates multiple serial interfaces such as UART, PWM, GPIO, I2C, and antenna interfaces for communication. This RF module supports PHY layer modulation schemes such as CCK, BPSK, QPSK, 16-QAM, and 64-QAM. It supports a data rate of up to 72 Mbps, provides an output power of 16 dBm, and has a receiving sensitivity of -95 dBm (BLE, 1 Mbps). This module is available in a durable and robust surface-mount LCC package that measures 20.0 x 18.0 x 2.6 mm.
