The MAYA-W2 Series from u-blox are Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and 802.15.4 Modules that are designed for IoT applications. They provide SISO Wi-Fi 6 operation with data throughput of up to 600 Mbit/s (Wi-Fi 6) and support MU-MIMO to provide exceptional performance even in dense Wi-Fi environments. These modules are based on NXP IW611 or IW612 chips which provide OS driver integration in their application host BSPs and SDK support for NXP MCUs. They support Wi-Fi 802.11d/e/h/i/k/r/u/v/w/az, Bluetooth BR, EDR, LE Audio & LE long-range protocols and 802.15.4 radio Thread & Zigbee mesh networks. The modules provide a Tx power of up to 18 dBm (Wi-Fi) & 20 dBm (Bluetooth) and have an Rx sensitivity of -92.5 dBm (Wi-Fi) and -98 dBm (BLE).
The MAYA-W2 Series modules can be controlled via SDIO 3.0, 4-wire high-speed UART PCM, I2S, SPI, and GPIO interfaces. They require a DC from 1.8 to 3.3 V. These modules are available in 86-pin LGA packages that measure 10.4 x 14.3 x 1.9 mm with PCB-antenna, U.FL connectors, and antenna pins variants. They are ideal for a wide range of industrial IoT applications, such as smart manufacturing, tracking and telematics, building automation, professional appliances, healthcare, and EV charging infrastructure applications.
