The RFeye Node 40-8 from CRFS is a Purpose-Built RF Receiver for spectrum regulators from 9 kHz to 8 GHz with an instantaneous bandwidth of 40 MHz. It combines high-performance spectrum monitoring with a rugged form factor at an affordable price. The RFeye 40-8 provides operators with precise spectrum monitoring, geolocation, reporting, and advanced signal intercept capabilities by incorporating the latest superheterodyne receiver technology. This receiver provides real-time spectrum operations and is low in Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) making it easy to deploy where needed. It is a complete spectrum monitoring and geolocation system (Compatible with GPS, QZSS, GALILEO, and GLONASS) designed for evaluating remote deployment in distributed networks both indoors and outdoors, including in hostile environments.
The RFeye Node 40-8 is characterized by outstanding noise figure, channel re-tune time and spurious free dynamic range parameters. It also allows multiple concurrent measurements and geolocations to be performed and multiple users to connect simultaneously from remote locations. It has a noise figure of 10 dB (9 kHz to 100 MHz) and a phase noise of -103 dBc/Hz at 20 kHz offset (receiver input at 1 GHz). With exceptional sensitivity, low power and low data back-haul requirements, this receiver delivers uninterrupted spectrum vigilance. It can be controlled via powerful software and APIs that make it ideal for regulators (spectrum management and interference hunting), defense (test range spectrum management) and security (technical surveillance counter measures) applications.
