The RFeye Node 100-18 LW from CRFS is a high-performance RF sensor for real-time spectrum monitoring, geolocation of transmitters, and recording of I/Q data. It operates from 9 kHz to 18 GHz and has a 100 MHz instantaneous bandwidth. This sensor is a lightweight version of the RFeye Node 100-18 NS provides electronic warfare capabilities and RF intelligence in a compact, low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) package, making it ideal for deployment on various unmanned platforms.
The RFeye Node 100-18 LW is compatible with a broad spectrum of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) across different Maximum Gross Take-off Weights (MGTW), from small to very large. Its lightweight design contributes to extended flight times on UAS platforms. It can serve as a high-performance EW sensor payload on fixed-wing UAVs, medium and large rotary drones, and tethered drones, and can even be integrated into unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). It has a GNSS chipset that supports four constellations in the L1, L2, and L5 bands. This spectrum monitoring sensor has a noise figure of 7 to 21 dB, a phase noise of -126 dBc/Hz (@1 GHz), and a sweep speed of 390 GHz/s (@2 MHz RBW). It can operate in free-running continuous, single-timed, user-triggered, and adaptive user-programmable modes with a sampling resolution of 16 bits per channel and a sampling rate of 125 MS/s.
The RFeye Node 100-18 LW can be controlled through GigE and USB interfaces and can also be powered using ethernet with a DC supply of 56 V. It can also operate via a DC supply of 10 to 30 V and consumes less than 45 W of power. This system is available in a compact, lightweight module that measures 222 x 52 x 187 mm and has SMA connectors for receiver and antenna port interfacing. It is ideal for wide-area surveillance, border security monitoring, communications intelligence, and electronic warfare applications.
