The SRY-XTXR-FB-OIEM-9XX-YYZZZ (StingRay Compact) from ETL Systems is an RF-Over-Fiber Module that operates in the L-Band. It has been developed for Satellite ground applications and enables an antenna to be located at a distance of up to 10 km from modems and other equipment. This RF-Over-Fiber module supports four transmit/receive channels in various configurations for RF/optical conversion. It includes a 10 MHz optical and RF signal reference to maintain accurate signal timing before and after conversion from the RF/optical domain.
This module uses Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) to transmit signals across multiple wavelengths over the fiber cable. It requires an AC supply (AC-powered IDU at the indoor end) or a DC supply (dedicated DC-powered ODU housed in an IP-rated outdoor casing) to power the equipment. The SRY-XTXR-FB-OIEM-9XX-YYZZZ is available in a module with optical Ethernet/RJ45-Ethernet ports and a wide range of optical connector options. It has a rugged design that makes it suitable for deployable applications.
