The MP-128TX Series from Microwave Photonics Systems are RF Over Fiber Optical Transmitters designed to provide electrical-to-optical (E/O) conversion of RF signals from 1 to 3500 MHz. They utilize a low noise, high dynamic range Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser with integrated temperature stability control. These transmitters can be optimized by using integrated RF attenuators to satisfy almost any application. They support optical wavelengths of 1310/1550 nm (CWDM available) and deliver an output power of 3 mW. These transmitters require a DC supply of 15 V and consume less than 1.4 W of power. They are ideal for OEM fiber optic integration into legacy RF platforms and products.
The MP-128TX Series optic transmitters can be used in conjunction with appropriate MP-128RX RF/Fiber Optic Receiver to form a broadband link capable of supporting transmission of RF signals over single mode optical fiber for use in a wide array of communication applications. The link applications include antenna remoting, time and frequency reference distribution, RF delay lines, telemetry tracking, and point-to-point RF transmission. They are available in industry-leading mechanical packages and are suitable for use in wideband RF transmission, microwave antenna remoting, L-Band SATCOM links, GPS antenna remoting, Wireless/PCS, and phased array antenna systems.
