The U2049XA from Keysight is a LAN power sensor that operates from 10 MHz to 6 GHz / 33 GHz. It has a wide dynamic range of -70 dBm to 20 dBm that provides accurate power measurements of very low signal levels for applications such as wireless chipset, power amplifier, module manufacturing, satellite payload testing, test system or instrument calibration, and radar pulse parameter measurements.
The power sensor takes up to 50,000 readings per second (in fast/buffer mode/average mode) and measures continuously in real-time with very fast pulses of up to 10 kHz PRF. It comes with an optional thermal vacuum-compliant option (Option-TVA) for use within a thermal vacuum chamber. The device has a LAN/ Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE) connectivity of up to 100 meters for long-distance remote monitoring.
It has a feature called average mode time selectivity that allows users to control which portions of the waveform to be measured, giving the same results as time-gated power measurements made in the conventional normal/peak mode. The Power Sensor is available in a pocket-sized module with an APC-3.5 mm (male) connector and is ideal for fault detection and monitoring of satellite systems.
