The 4480A from Bird is an RF Power Meter that measures frequencies ranging from 2 MHz to 30 MHz (low band) and 25 MHz to 1000 MHz (high band). It can measure true average power for both Continuous Wave (CW) and digitally modulated signals and has an input power range of 10 W to 10 kW (low band) and 1 W to 1 kW (high band). This power meter has an accuracy of ±4% (±0.18 dB) and an input attenuator range of 0 to 30 dB in 1 dB steps. It has a peak-to-average ratio of up to 10 dB and a directivity of 30 dB. This power meter has an element-free design to simplify measurement across multiple frequency bands without frequency-specific elements.

The 4480A requires an AC supply of 110/220 V or a DC supply of 12 V from a NiMH 6-AA internal battery and consumes 2A of current. This power meter is available in a compact enclosure that measures 185.42 x 127 x 67.31 mm and has field-changeable Type N female connectors. It is ideal for telecommunications, research & development, broadcasting, military communications, industrial RF systems, and aerospace & defense applications.
