The 5017D-AV from Bird is an RF Power Sensor that operates from 100 MHz to 1.3 GHz and never requires field calibration i.e. only requires calibration once per year and is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This power sensor measures true average power, peak power, and duty cycles directly with exceptional accuracy and uses these precise measurements to calculate a wide range of other important factors, such as VSWR, return loss, reflection coefficient, crest factor, average burst power, and CCDF. It has a power measurement range from 500 mW to 500 W (average) and 1300 W (peak). The device has a directivity of over 28 dB, an insertion loss of less than 0.05 dB, and a VSWR of under 1.05:1.
This sensor is available in a module that measures 122 x 117 x 35.5 mm with N-type (F) connectors, and D89 proprietary, RS-232, and USB 2.0 Type B interfaces.
