The LB5967L from LadyBug Technologies is a True-RMS Power Sensor that operates from 9 kHz to 67 GHz. It can handle an average continuous input power of 18 dBm (~63 mW), a peak input pulsed power of 2 W and has a dynamic range of -50 dBm to +18 dBm. This sensor utilizes a high accuracy, thermally stabilized, two-path, RMS responding, square law diode detection scheme that can accurately measure any signal regardless of modulation bandwidth. The patented thermally stable technology ensures stable measurements over the entire operating temperature range without user intervention, zeroing or calibration. This patented process also eliminates user zeroing and calibration before use. It mitigates measurement interruption due to automatic calibration bolstering the performance and reliability of ATE systems.
The LB5967L uses LadyBug’s PMA-12 power meter software and allows users to make a variety of measurements from basic average power measurements to complex triggered measurements. This power sensor includes USB HID and USB-C interfaces and utilizes standard SCPI commands. Additionally, the sensor allows emulation and compatibility with various VNAs, spectrum analyzers, sources and ATE systems written for other sensors. The power sensor module measures 3.55 x 1.70 inches and has 1.85 mm (Male) connector. It is suitable for use in research and development, manufacturing, and service applications, including radar, satellite, telecommunications, and 802.11 testing.
