The PWR-18RMS-RC from Mini-Circuits is an RMS Power Sensor that operates from 50 MHz to 18 GHz. It can detect input signals from -60 dBm to +20 dBm and supports the measurement of CW, modulated, pulsed, and multi-tone signals along with wideband digital modulations (including Wi-Fi devices). This power sensor has Ethernet (RJ45) and USB Type-C control interfaces and has an integrated LCD screen that provides a convenient local read-out to the operator of power measurements and key settings.
The power sensor has measurement software and an API for automation that walks the user through the power sensor settings, displays the current measurements, and provides powerful data recording and export capabilities. It is available in a module that measures 118.9 x 63.5 x 30.5 mm with N-type (female) connectors and has a rubberized outer case for protection and portability. The power sensor automatically compensates power measurements based on the internal ambient temperature sensor and the user-entered measurement frequency.
The PWR-18RMS-RC is ideal for use in 5G FR1, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth device testing, Ku-band SATCOM, radio and radar testing, and average power measurement of ASK, FSK, OFDM, QAM, and LTE modulations.
