The FiRe-78-8-U from ADRF is a 700/800 MHz Fiber-optic Digital Repeater that is designed for public safety applications. It has a downlink operating frequency from 758 – 775 MHz and 851 - 861 MHz and an uplink frequency from 788 – 805 MHz and 806 – 816 MHz. This repeater utilizes digital signal processing (DSP) filtering technology to eliminate adjacent channel interference for band selectivity and supports up to two non-contiguous wideband and thirty-two non contiguous narrowband filters. It has an insertion loss of less than 5 dB, a filter bandwidth of up to 10 MHz (wideband), and from 12.5 to 200 kHz (narrowband). The repeater features an alarm output for antenna, amplifier, AC or DC power supply, battery, and charger failure including oscillation detection with an automatic amplifier shutdown routine.
The FiRe-78-8-U is fully compliant with International Fire Code (IFC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and is UL 2524 Certified for in-building 2-way Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement Systems (ERCES). It is code compliant with NFPA 72-2013, NFPA 1221-2016/2019, NFPA 1225, and IFC 2015/2018/2021 and is Band FirstNet 14 compliant. This repeater natively supports up to 8 Remote Units or up to 36 Remote Units in combination with OEU. It is available in a Type 4/NEMA 4 enclosure that measures 11.00 x 12.20 x 21.30 inches with 4.3-10 (female) connectors. It requires an AC supply from 110 to 240 V and consumes 200 W of power.
