The ERDCHS1-800P37G90N from Excelwave Technology is a Digital Signal Repeater that operates at a downlink frequency of 851 to 869 MHz and an uplink frequency of 806 to 824 MHz. It delivers an output power of 5 W (~37 dBm) with a maximum system gain of 90 dB and a noise figure of less than 5 dB. This signal booster has spurious levels of -30 dBm and a third-order intermodulation distortion of better than -55 dBc.
The repeater supports one wide band or up to 8 non-contiguous narrow bands. The wide band mode can be used for applications where group delay needs to be tightly controlled while narrow band modes can be used for applications where uplink and downlink frequencies need to be tightly controlled. It also features 3 digital filter operation modes that provide great flexibility to balance signal selectivity and group time delay for optimum system performance.
The ERDCHS1-800P37G90N unit is configurable via a web browser-based GUI or network management system (NMS server package-optional), which provides versatility and easy access to the users. It includes a built-in self-oscillation protection that automatically reduces the gain when self-oscillation is detected, turns off the unit, and sends an alarm if gain reduction isn’t sufficient to prevent the oscillation. This repeater is available in an IP-65-rated aluminium enclosure that measures 18.9 x 17.4 x 9.05 inches with N-type (female) connectors. This signal booster requires an AC supply of 110 V and can auto-switch to a DC battery backup of 48 V in case of AC supply failure.
