The Echo 5G from Pivotal is a mmWave 5G Repeater that operates from 37.6 to 40 GHz. This on-glass repeater utilizes holographic beamforming (HBF) technology and has been designed to counteract signal loss at millimeter-wave frequencies. It consists of an outdoor unit (ODU) and an indoor unit (IDU) that enables outdoor-to-indoor signal transitions to deliver an immersive 5G mmWave experience with a latency of 5ns. This repeater is compatible with 5G NR non-standalone (NSA) EN-DC and standalone (SA) architectures and enables Gbps service indoors at distances up to 1 kilometer from the base station and 100+ ft inside of buildings. The combination of Echo 5G and mmWave 5G enables businesses to implement augmented, virtual, mixed, and extended reality technologies that require extremely high bandwidth and extremely low latency.
The outdoor unit is wirelessly powered and consists of an HBF antenna and RFFE functions while the indoor unit has a wireless power module and AC adapter surface. The outdoor unit is available in an IP54-rated enclosure that measures 7 (Dia.) x 1.5 (depth) inches and the indoor unit is available in an IP32-rated enclosure that measures 3.7 (Dia.) x 1.1 (depth) inches. It consumes less than 36 W of power while operating actively.
