The N9916B from Keysight Technologies is a Handheld Microwave Analyzer that operates from 30 kHz to 14 GHz. It can be operated as a cable and antenna analyzer, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, and more. This 2-port analyzer has a real-time bandwidth of 100 MHz, a dynamic range of 115 dB and measures all four S-parameters simultaneously. It can perform over-the-air measurements for 5G NR and LTE and uses GPS/GNSS for geolocation and timestamping. The analyzer has a phase noise of -115 dBc/Hz @ 30 kHz offset (at 1 GHz) and DANL of -163 dBm @ 1 GHz. The N9916B uses the PathWave Vector Signal Analysis (89600 VSA) software which allows the recoding of signals in the field. It allows to demodulate and perform comprehensive vector signal analysis to optimize deployment. The analyzer can decode and verify MAC, RLC, and RRC-layer messages across multiple radio frames.
