The RSA500 Series from Tektronix are Ruggedized, Portable Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers (RTSA) with a frequency range from 9 kHz to 18 GHz. They have an acquisition bandwidth of 40 MHz and a dynamic range from -160 dBm to +20 dBm to enable real-time analysis for transient capture and vector analysis. These analyzers have a full-span sweep speed of up to 70 GHz/sec and a minimum event duration for 100% POI of 15 μs.
This portable, rugged analyzer has been developed to conduct precise, real-time measurements and has advanced spectrum analysis capabilities. It is powered by the SignalVu® software that offers a deep analysis capability previously unavailable in high-performance battery-operated solutions. This software enables real-time processing of the DPX® spectrum/spectrogram in your PC which further reduces the cost of hardware. There are 26 add-on packages that cover general-purpose modulation analysis, pulsed signal analysis, Bluetooth 5, and commercial wireless signal analysis.
The RSA500 series RTSAs have standard GPS/GLONASS/Beidou receivers for mapping. They have an option for EMI pre-compliance and diagnostic measurements with support for many predefined limit lines. The transducer, antenna, preamplifier, and cable gain/loss can be entered and stored in correction files, and the standard spurious measurement feature of SignalVu-PC can be used to establish limit lines for the test. These spectrum analyzers also have an option for a tracking generator that enables gain/loss measurements for quick tests of filters, duplexers, and other network elements.
The RSA500 Series RTSAs have an in-built 6140 mAh Li-ion battery that provides 4 hours of continuous operation per battery. They are available in ruggedized and portable housings that measure 67.3 x 299.1 x 271.3 with a USB 3.0 interface and various RF connectors. These analyzers meet the MIL-STD 28800 Class 2 environmental, shock, and vibration specifications for use in harsh conditions. They are ideal for use in general-purpose spectrum analysis, radio network installation and maintenance, spectrum monitoring, spectrum management, interference hunting, EMI/EMC compliance testing and troubleshooting, spectrum operations, radiation hazard (RADHAZ) testing, emissions control (EMCON) monitoring, and signal intelligence (SIGINT) monitoring applications.
