The Talon RTX 2684 is a Search and Capture System that combines the power of a Pentek Talon Recording System with a 26 GHz RF tuner and Pentek's Sentinel intelligent signal scanning software with real-time recording in an extremely rugged, small form factor (SFF) 1/2 ATR chassis. The RTX 2684 provides SIGINT engineers with the ability to scan the RF spectrum from 1 to 26 GHz for signals of interest and monitor or record bandwidths up to 500 MHz wide.
The real-time recorder can sustain real-time record rates up to 4 GB/s. A spectral scan facility allows the user to scan the spectrum, while threshold detection allows the system to automatically lock onto and record signal bands.
This signal recording system is housed in a rugged, lightweight chassis weighing 23 lb. The briefcase-style, portable workstation includes 12-bit A/Ds with 57.5 dB of SNR and 72 dB of (Spurious Free Dynamic Range) SFDR. It has a built-in Digital Down Converter) DDC with selectable decimations of 4, 8, and 16. The Talon RTX 2684 has an optional GPS receiver for precise time & position stamping and an optional telnet remote connection.
